Recipe: Cider Cocktail, The Marshallatta

It's Oregon Cider Week and our friends at Portland Cider Co. asked us to come up with a cocktail to celebrate the occasion. Our co-founder Lucas Plant is an avid cider drinker (his go-to is a pint of cider and shot of Fernet), so he was happily up to the task.
The Marshallatta

1 oz. Pueblo Viejo Blanco Tequila
1/2 oz. fresh lime juice
1/2 oz. Marshall's "Deep Sea Chili" Haute sauce
5 dashes “Portland Bitters Project Aromatic bitters (or The Bitter Housewife Aromatic bitters)
Top with Portland Cider Co. Pear Cider.
Salt 1/3 of a 10 oz rocks glass and set aside. Add tequila, lime juice, Marshall's haute sauce and bitters into an ice-filled shaker tin and shake all ingredients for 10-15 seconds. Add 4 oz of Portland Cider Co. into the shaker tin and gently swirl to incorporate. Pour cocktail into your salted rocks glass and garnish with a lime wedge.
