It started when three Portland bartenders grew tired of dealing with shattered glassware, flimsy jiggers, and shakers that leaked everywhere but into the cocktail. It was enough to make anyone feel like a Bull in a China Shop. And just like that, our brand was born.

Bull in China set out to create tools tough enough for real-world bartending, and beautiful enough for any home bar. Our now-famous mixing glasses were just the beginning. Today, our curated collection includes precise jiggers, handmade strainers, and barware built to withstand the busiest shifts (or your most enthusiastic house guest).

In 2020, spirits and wine industry veteran Matan Steinfeld took the reins of Bull in China, bringing 15 years of hospitality experience and a desire to work with only the finest artisans and craftspeople, both domestically and abroad. 

Today, the Bull in China name is synonymous with quality, performance and an elevated appreciation for professional bartending. Each piece of barware is the result of long conversations with bar professionals far and wide, resulting in bar tools that are battle-tested and crafted to entertain for generations.
